Really...really?

So I was having a convo with some counterparts when someone said living in my city was a death sentence. I was floored as this person doesn't live here and I believe has never even visited before. Now even if they had done so I would have still been annoyed at the comment. My city is small and the increase in crime was widespread, but comparing it to other cities it's still fairing better. I found the conversation hilarious but somehow the person making the statement was offended that the people who live here had a lot to say about their thoughts. It amazes me how people come across one way and then totally act another. You know the person who makes themselves into something they are not. It boggles the mind that men or women will boast and toot about their lives and when face to face change everything.
